A ‘Gestation Related Optimal Weight’ (GROW) standard is based on the term optimal weight
calculated for that pregnancy and can be used to assess EFW and Birthweight.

A centile below the 10^th or 3^rd can be used as a better proxy for pathological smallness (i.e. FGR),
as the calculation has been adjusted for physiological variation.
